Well, we had a very good night our dogs usually sleep in with us but in their own bed - Taz prefers the settee its seems, and we think this is because hes guarding the house for us.
He came out with me last night to get the washing in and he's so funny, he catches the pegs as I toss them in the basket!
Just off now for 5 mile walkies altough I know it'll never knacker him out!

Quick update - Taz doing really well with us on day 4! Learning new tricks, signed for agility classes, i intend to show him, he's certainly up to it.
He's sleeping in his bed now in our bedroom, but he does like a cuddle at 5 in the morning, and so what? We like it too!
He has a nice peice of toast with flora in the morning, and we all sit together and eat - including my parrot who also has a piece of toast!
He has us in stitches with his antics and he's already managed to submerge me in the sea! He followed me in, when the cold water hit his tummy he shot up on all fours and pushed me straight under! Everyone on the beach thought it was very good entertainment, and I suppose I can see the funny side too!
Anyway, he is fine, healthy and happy, and has changed our lives - I've already lost 1/4 stone since Saturday running around with him and teaching his slaloms etc!
As soon as I've got a good collection I promise to put the piccies on here for you all to laugh at.

Quick update - we've been to our first agility class this morning, in the Purbecks, at Corfe Castle. Oh good lord what a laugh! Every facet of taz's personality must have come out this morning!
We arrived early to register and were greeted by the biggest male border I've ever seen - Taz decided he would behave! Next up two white female borders of some age both deaf as posts and barking their heads off - Taz didn't know what to make of them so we steered clear.
The sweet little collie/spaniel cross sitting next to us went for him, he retaliated - this started the massive female bassett hound off and her bark was like was like a drum - that shut the pair of them up! I actually had to discipline him for the first time today for snarling, but there we were, all sitting on plastic chairs in high winds all trying to control our dogs and almost every one of the dogs was having a go at one or the other! There were leads and shouting owners everywhere!
The trainer explained to all of us that this was bound to happen and it is known as fear aggression and they will all settle down eventually as none of the dogs are really aggressive, just testing each other! Some of them will not have been as socialised as others, or even come across some of these huge breeds.
Then we started the agility! I never thought it would be so hard to get a dog to jump over things, run through things, and sit on tables! However, after three rounds, Taz has had a go at everything - he excels at slalom (if only he wouldn't hold my hand with his teeth trying to get at the treat!) He's been on the see saw - didn't like that and neither did I since i thought i was going to have to go on it with him! And the hoop - well, I don;t think you are supposed to drag it round the course with a dog tangled up in it! And the indignant look I got from Taz - mum, why have I got to sit on a table for goodness sake?! But it was a good laugh and we really enjoyed it. We'll be going every week now, he'll get used to all the different dog sizes and temperaments and I think he will excel at this.
Off to obedience next Tuesday, same trainer - and I have lost half a stone in a week from all the exercise! Photo's didn't come out so well today but we'll keep trying!
