reply from owner:-
Thanks for your interest. I am rubbish on computers, & don't know how to send pictures. So here is a full description:- His name is Tom or Tommy. He is a Parsons Jack Russell Dog. (Entire.) He is 11 years old. He is mainly white, with chestnut markings - he has chestnut ears, large patch on off shoulder, patch at base of tail, & patch over off eye, which doesn't show up so well as there is an overlay of white hairs. He appears to have one eye larger than the other. He has a medium length wire hair coat. He has long legs, & takes an 18" dog coat. When lost he was wearing a black fabric collar, with tag, which has his details & phone no's on it. But this is not tight & if trapped he could slip this. He was lost in farmland, near his home, whilst I was out walking him. He is usually very quiet. He has never shown any tendency to run away since we have had him (2 years.) This is totally out of character for him. He is friendly & does not bite. Any help would be much appreciated. Regards Lilian Holdstock

It's a bit of a long shot but a male white JRT with brown spots was picked up on the 12 of June, by colchester borough council. Well cared for no collar. www.colchester.gov.uk/lost_dogs_list.asp?sec_id=691 someone might have picked him up, then dumped him. Id. no 6971
