I have contacted the rescue centre, but unfortunately their Russell is chipped & Tommy is not. 
I gave them a full description of Tommy & they said it does not match the dog they have. But they are keeping the details just in case.
I will try contacting the papers about him.

This is an update, just to let you know, that despite putting out over 1500 leaflets, 1320 locally in two magazines, plus loads of rescue centres & vets all over the country. Also adverts in papers all over Lincolnshire, plus Hull. Tommy has not returned to me. 
It is now 6 months since he went missing.
I still miss him terribly, & still look for him when walking the two dogs I now have, but without much hope.
