Just received this email from Bob and Win:....
Just a small e-mail to let you know that we did not find our poor little Tilly, The weather was shocking ,it rained all day and went very dark about 2.30pm so we could not spend as much time looking for her as we would have liked ,but we managed to deliver the posters in the school etc.. I think what we need to do now is to return to Angelsey when the weather gets warmer ie March/ April to see if we can find her when she comes out of hibernation.Hope you are keeping well ,and thanks for everything you have done in trying to get our Tilly back. Regards Bob and Win

Hi Bob and Win, So sorry to hear that the british weather let you down.
All we can all hope is that Tilly has fed well, and found somewhere nice and cosy and safe to hibernate.
I can imagine it is going to be a long winter for you, but we will all be thinking of you.
Fingers crossed, for some good news in March/April if not before.

The only thing that concerns me apart from Tilly not having enough weight on for the winter hibernation is Badgers...they can and will eat a tortoise..their jaws are no match for even a tortoise shell..foxes are a problem and can bite off their limbs but Badgers are a real threat. Lets hope she made it to a safe haven before any predators got to her.

Latest update on Tilly...
Got an email from Bob, he received the following email a few days ago:
Quote: Dear Friend, I am Kathaleen Hudson, I found your pet. whats your name and how do we make contact for the pick up. Thank you
Sadly it turned out to be a cruel hoax. What sort of person does that?? He's not going to give up hope though, will keep you all posted with any future updates.

That is awful, what sort of sick people could be so cruel.
Give Bob my very best wishes and let him know that we are all thinking of him & Tilly.
Come home Tilly, keep safe and sleep well until the spring.
