Yes, that angers me too. That's why we're going to take her to the clinics of Celia Hammond. They wouldn't allow her to wait for that long. Even if that doesn't work out, we're going to speak to the Practice Manager of our local vet and workout a payment plan as our vet said he can't authorise anything. We will definitely get her operation done Monday or Tuesday. Can't watch her suffer like this. They both have suffered enough.

We received a call today from Tailwaggers and they only support in a small way as they are a charity of only 8 people. They said they'll be able to give about £30-40. The lady was so nice, but she said they couldn't help anymore than that and asked us to call them back when we know how much is needed if we can't get any donations from other charities.

Update: Celia Hammond trust agreed to do Sandy's operation and she was adimitted to the hospital today. They've already ordered the special T plate, so it should all go well. They said she might need to stay in the hospital for 2-3 days and might need another x-ray/operation in a month or two. We were advised to call today around 4.30pm to check on her.
We took Randy to the vet yesterday and he's got more air under his skin, now down to his neck as well. The vet said he's seen some dogs with air all over their bodies and they swell up a lot. So, if it doesn't go down in a couple of months, Randy might need an operation later. He's been given 5 days of anibiotics and asked to come back in two weeks time because the vet goes on holiday. But asked us to see the locum if there's an emergency.
Thank you all for supporting Randy and Sandy. You all have big kind hearts. Randy and Sandy sends their love...

I called Celia Hammond at 4.30pm yesterday as requested and they said Sandy's operation will be done today because they got an emergency case and had to operate on that dog. She's stayed the night there and they said she's OK. Will update you later today or tomorrow.

Update: Sandy's home now! Her operation was successful, but they could only fix 2 screws to the plate. 3 screws would've been best. They gave Sandy antibiotics and painkillers as well. Asked us to call back on Tuesday to speak to the vet to arrange a time for her next check up as he wasn't in when we picked her up. The amazing thing was the bill. It was only £400! Our vet quoted £2000! They've been very generous to us. The cheque had been cleared, so we were able to pay. Her leg was wrapped in several layers of bandages, but last night she managed to get it all out! We could see the long cut. We managed to wrap it up again, but not sure if it's OK. So, when we speak to the vet on Tuesday, will have to ask if he needs to bandage her again. She needs another check up in 6 weeks time and may need another x-ray to see if everything is healing well.
Randy was taken to the vet as well to check his incontinence. The vet did a urine test and checked his prostate. Said everything was fine and the problem might be behavioural or due to antibiotics. He said it might clear out soon. We'll keep an eye on him. He's got another appointment next Monday.

Sandy took off her bandages on the day we brought her home. but we wrapped her leg again. We're going to ask the vet for a buster collar as we're taking Sandy to the vets this morning. The vet said the bandages need to be changed. Her painkillers and antibiotics are also finished, so he might give her some more.
Randy's making a fast recovery it seems. I would say he's now about 70-80% back to his normal self. Think it's mainly due to Sandy coming home. The only concern is because it's a head injury, there might be some long-term effects. The vet said some things might come up even months or years later. We just hope that doesn't happen and that he'll make a full recovery.
