I have had another successful day with Debbie's letters and awareness posters.

I am getting people to sign and deliver the letter to vets as a large quanity to each vet will have maxium impact.

Also I am meeting with my own vet tomorrow to discuss the matter.

Good luck everyone!

Love

I'll start sending to Shropshire and can take to a few in north-east Worcestershire as that's where I work mostly. Will also give to my customers and dog walkers.  Chris

I had a meeting with my vet this morning.  He said that they scan all strays and dogs before they are microchipped.
However, he has promised to discuss Debbie's letter with his partners and staff at their next staff meeting.
Will be handing Debbie's letter out to the public at the fair on Saturday

Best wishes,

Jess

Well done that's fantastic.
Everyone should be taking the letter to their own vets as well as any vets in their local town/village.  Treat the letter as a missing dog poster, any where that dog owners will be is a place to put the letter.
Local newpapers might be interested in your vets reply to the appeal local radio could do a piece as well.  Summer time is always a good time to get smaller news item aired.
Send a copy to as many friends as you can who can then send to their friends and so on..........Word of mouth is very powerful.  We aim to get this message across the UK, so that every vet is aware that their paying customers are asking that Vets get Scanning everywhere and if they are not why?  Good luck everyone.
Best wishes Debbie

What I have been doing locally is handing the letter out to as many people as possilbe and if I feel they cannot deliver to their own vet I asked who their vet is  and  when I have gathered a few forward them on.

In exchange I then give them a Alfies hand out to which I add Debbie's web site.

Trust this helps.

Good luck

Jess

I don't think Debbie's site is up and running yet Jess, so it may be worth mentioning to people that it's in the process of being built. Chris

No the site is not up and running yet but soon will be.

This fact I do explain to people and they seem to except the situation.

At my village Summer Fete people were very supportive of Debbie's petition. I had 44 returned to me which I will give to the local vets and many more were taken away  as we had many visitors to the area as well as locals.

Love Jess
