Maggie slipped her collar and ran out of Pets at Home towards Wellington at approx 10.30am on the 11 April 2009.

Maggie looks like she has a dislocated front left leg, or bow legged. She is completely black with no special markings. Maggie is quite timid, but not aggressive.

Telford Retail Park, Wellington Shropshire

A reward of £250 is on offer for Maggie's safe return

Hi Melissa

Thanks for this – the poster is fab.  I had a sighting of her this morning – she is petrified, I don’t think anyone will be able to catch her, I plan to sit where she was seen and wait for her to get enough confidence to come to me.

Will keep you informed, fingers crossed I will get her back soon.

Kind regards
Claire

I am sure she will be home soon  but remember to avoid eye contact, talk quiet.pretend you are not interested in her and have some nice smelly sausages or chicken . a few little bits to throw her way then let her come to you , no sudden grabbing , stay low and relaxed , she will be hungry and hopefully when she realises who you are she will come to you, she has gone back to her instincts  but she should recognise your smell not your looks.

Hi Mel

I returned to the spot last night and again this morning with no further sightings.  I don’t know if the weather has put her off as it’s really miserable. Do you have any suggestions, I feel exhausted and don’t know what else to try.  How does the dog trap work?

Thank you
Claire

She will stay low if the weather is lousy and possibly come out the same times ,  a trap may be an option , contact dog warden , or wildlife rescue for loan of a fox trap but needs to watched !

Hi Mel
Thanks for the advice, I will give the local dog warden another call.  Where she has gone missing there are so many places for her to hide in the undergrowth.  Thanks for confirming that you think she will be hiding due to the weather – I assumed that but have started to doubt myself!
Will keep you posted

Hi Mel

Fantastic news!!!  I have Maggie back home safe and sound.  I was concerned that she wouldn’t come to me but she must of had enough of running wild as she came running to me when she saw me.

Thank you for your help and advice over the last week – it is much appreciated.

Kind regards
