SPENCER Missing Bichon- Ontario
« on: July 27, 2007, 04:09:15 AM »

My dog Spencer went missing on March 18th 2007. (woodbridge Ontario. Langstaff/ansleygrove. national estates)
He is a small white DEAF Bichon frise. His nose is long for a bichon (like a poodle). The rims around his eyes are pink. His fur is curly when it is long. He has a faded blue breeder's tatoo inside his ear. He was last seen wearing a blue collar with pictures of yellow bones (a blue vaccination tag was attatched). The collar has probably been changed or removed. Spencer is 9 years old and he has been neutured.

If you know where he could be, please contact 905-851-1418 or spencer_search@hotmail.com

I have a youtube video as well: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QkX5XojmOP4

Thank very much for the poster. Yes, I still have posters all over my area- I will be sure to put up this one too. I have also been emailing all of the shelters, pounds and rescue agencies within my province. I have put him on television, on the radio and in the classifieds of the newspaper. I went door to door wiht posters and put them in people's mailboxes. I even contacted an "animal communicator" as weird as that is.

Yes, we are pretty sure he is stolen. He vansished from the backyard and then was nowhere to be found.

By the way, I'm sorry. I didn't realize you were based in the UK. I saw a video montage on youtube and then I just came to the website.

If you don't mind, I need an opinion about something. I have been recieving emails from a man who says he took my dog from National estaes (my subdivision). Then when I emailed him back he said he took him to England on a business tirp and will not be back until November. I didn't believe him at first, I thought he was a scammer. Then he sent me a picture and it looks JUST like my dog. Then he gave me his phone number and my dad called him in England and he still says he has my dog. He wants money to fly him back to Canada., Do you think he is a scammer? Is there some way his story could be true? This has been going on for a couple months now.

can you let me have his phone number and where he says he is in England cos will be able to tell you if it rings true or the place exists , any details that you can get that we can check out, as he may think you are safe in Canada he may give out something , does sound like a  scam ... dont send money whatever you do. See what you can get ,let me know , then we can always say have someone in England who can collect him !!!! Chris

We are trying to get the guy to email us back. We gave him three options that included us not sending money. 1= we have someone in Englans to pick up him and bring  him home. If he in fact has a dog we will give him a reward (which is all true)
                          2. We send money to Heathrow airport (which is apparently close to him). If there is no dog, that way we will have cancellation insurence.
                           3. We wait till he gets home in november. If there is a dog, he will still get our reward.

Once we gave hiim the three options, he stopped responding. We just sent him another email, and he hasnt responded. We are going to give it a couple days and my dad will call him back. He does answer his phone so I know thhat that is a real number. It is his cell phone.
He hasn't said the exact place he lives in England. He just said Heathrow aiirport was closest. I have to wait until he responds.

Also, I'm trying to get the picture he sent on this website. I think I'll have it up soon.

This is a picture of the dog that he says he has. It comes out very small. We enlarged it by setting it as our desktop background

I am so sorry for you, really I am, but I am 100% sure that this is a scam, they are trying to get money from you and this dog, to be honest, looks nothing like your dog. I think that you should inform the police as soon as you can. Justine

yeah, we are pretty 100% sure it's a scam too. Especially since he has not responded after we gave him all those options.  Angry Urg. Stupid guy. I hate him.

If the guy had Spencer, he would be in quarantine still as he came from Canada, wouldn't he? I can't see someone stealing a dog and bringing it to the UK to pay for 6 months in kennels.
Hope you get some good news very soon. xxxxxxxxxx

Hey, Chris
thanks for your email. No..there is no more news. He is still missing. I did everything I could think of over here...I put him in magazines, ontv, on the radio, newspaper, I went door to door, been to animal communicators, I contacted all of the vets etc. There are still posters eveywhere. He just disappeared.

Thanks for your thoughts though. I read about people who find their dogs after years..I know it's a long shot but I still hope Smiley
Anyways, Thanks again
Take care,
Carly

Thanks for the new poster!!
I had a woman call me from a newspaper here in Ontario,  Canada. She wanted to write a story about lost dogs and she saw all my information on the internet so she called me and we had an interview.
Still no Spencer though Sad It will ahve been a year in two days. I can't believe it.
