Description

SKYE,S STORY
Skye has spent most of her young life in a shed, Food was thrown in on occasion but apart from that she had very little human contact. Her life was changed when she was rescued and then fostered by Carol and Luke Sinclair. From that moment on Skye knew what love was. Carol and Luke spent weeks rehabilitating Skye from a terrified little girl who would cower in a corner of a box placed in the house to help make Skye’s transition a little easier. Skye was terrified of people as her previous life barely included them in her existence in the shed but Skye eventually came round to trust Carol and Luke as people who were safe and kind but she would not go to anyone other than carol and Luke Carol and Luke fell in love with this little girl and within 5 and a half short weeks Skye was adopted by them.
Finally Skye started living a life a dog should have, She finally felt grass under her paws instead of the shed floor, She had the chance to snuggle up to a person on a settee feeling a tender hand stroke her fur, She learnt after a little while that the television and washing machine made noises but she didn’t need to be scared anymore. She loved living with her new Brothers Charlie, Storm and her Sister Meg. As time went by Skye and Storm grew closer and Storm made himself the Skye’s protector.
Carol decided it would be nice for everyone to have a holiday in Scotland and this is where this part of Skye’s story begins. Sadly whilst they were out for a walk Skye was spooked by a loud noise, this caused her to panic, slip her collar and run off into the unknown this was on the 22nd October 2013 in the Monreith area of Scotland. Carol and Luke searched and searched but Skye was nowhere to be found. The time eventually came that Carol and Luke had to return home in Manchester because of work commitments (Carol works for the police services).
Since then Carol has worked morning noon and night to get money for petrol etc to travel to and from Scotland to look for her missing furbaby but to no avail. There have been numerous sightings which were followed up and found to be either different dogs running lose or hoax sightings. The search has been sabotaged by people who do the likes of placing glass shards sticking upwards in the grass and the tearing down of posters. The glass incident caused one of Skye’s brothers to cut his paw. Carol herself has suffered numerous injuries caused by going out in all weathers and falling or slipping on wet slopes.
Yet Carol and Luke have spent the past 6 and a half months (this was posted in May 2014) searching, enduring all weathers, injuries to humans and doggies alike. She has had hours and hours of driving, a serious car accident which saw Carol injured and her car written off, numerous days and nights sat out or searching in the hope Skye will show herself once again so Carol and Luke can bring her home.
He is your friend, your partner, your defender,Your Dog! You are his life, his love, his leader! He will be yours, faithful and true to the last beat of his heart! You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion!
