Meet Roly and Snoopy, two gorgeous dogs who are currently in an Oldies Club foster home in the West Midlands. They have previously lived outside in kennels but are looking for a new home as family pets. As you can see from the picture below they’ve had no trouble adapting to life on the sofa!

Both are 11 years old and despite the difference in their looks they are half brother and sister (they share the same mum). Roly is the grey, ruggedly handsome one and he adores everyone he meets and is so calm and gentle. He’s very well behaved in the house and all he ever asks for is lots of cuddles and fuss. He can be quite timid when out and about though and will bolt for home if he sees another dog when he is off the lead. He’s also a little frightened of loud traffic or noise.
Snoopy is a bit more adventurous than Roly. She loves running off the lead and isn’t as bothered by other dogs. At home she is welded to the sofa and loves nothing more than sitting beside you, rolling on her back and then wriggling her way on to your lap! The only time she gets stressed is at the vets and if she ventures upstairs; she is too scared to come down so you have to carry her! Both dogs love you to sit and stroke them and they will tap at you with their paw if you stop! They are fine to be left for reasonable periods of time and are not destructive. All they ask for is a kiss and a treat when you leave and a cuddle or a walk when you return.

They are content with a few short walks a day. They do pull on the lead initially, but settle down once you get going. They both have good recall but as Roly gets spooked by other dogs he is probably best on an extended lead. They travel well in the car, as long as they are properly restrained.
They have excellent temperaments but would be best suited to a home with older children as they like their quiet time. They have lived with a cat before, but both are quite timid with other dogs so would be best suited to a dog free home. They must be homed together though as they are devoted to each other. Snoopy and Roly are two wonderful, adorable little dogs who will make smashing companions. All they want is to be loved and have a space on the sofa.
Both dogs have been vet checked and found to be in good health. Snoopy has a couple of fatty lumps, but they do not need any attention. Roly has a couple of eczema patches & fatty lumps, but they do not seem to bother him and do not require any treatment at present.
If you would like to find out more about Snoopy and Roly, please contact Liz, the Oldies Club’s rehoming co-ordinator as follows: Telephone: 01603 405 951 Email: rehome@oldies.org.uk Snoopy and Roly can be rehomed anywhere in the UK, subject to a satisfactory home visit.
