Benny the bichon
« on: November 17, 2007, 03:28:25 PM »

For some reason I am not getting the option to post a new topic so I am adding Benny Bichon here

Benny the Bichon is 12 years old and he came into the care of Oldies Club because his owners are moving abroad.
He is an absolute darling! He’s good with people, other dogs and takes no notice of cats or birds. He loves to wander around the garden when the weather is fine and warm, or just sit and stare out of the patio doors.

Benny likes very small walks and as he’s a little frightened of cars he’s better walking somewhere quieter, like in the park or woods or on the beach.

He likes to travel in the car and quickly falls asleep after setting off on his journey. Back at home he will quite happily sit on your lap all day and be stroked or just snooze on the sofa, although he needs a little help to get up.

He would be better in a quiet home without any children, as he could get a little nervous if they run about near him. He likes to sleep a lot during the day and is no trouble at night, sleeping soundly on his bean bag! He often needs to be woken in the morning to go out on the garden.

Benny has no food issues and will eat alongside other dogs, he’s quite partial to the occasional rich tea biscuit and a cup of tea!

Benny is happy to let you brush his coat, as long as you get his attention first, but he needs gentleness as he has eczema. He has a bald patch on his side and needs to have his ears cleaned regularly. Poor Benny is also deaf and partially blind and he has a heart murmur which is being treated with Vetmedin and Frusemide, once a day. He’s quite happy taking his medication though, if it’s hidden in food!

Benny is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and flea and worm treated.
He is currently in an Oldies Club foster home in Norfolk. If you would like to find out more about him, please email: rehome@oldies.org.uk
Benny can be rehomed anywhere in the UK, subject to a satisfactory home visit.
