I must say that Doglost really need to grow up or shut down!!! If they are alledged to be helping reunite lost/found dogs with the owners then I am sorry but having the attitude they appear to have is pathetic. Everyone is here to give support/help to dogs & owners alike. To ban people just because they are on other sites in my mind is so childish (cant ban me as I am not a member!!!!!!!) I am always more than happy to help anyone & also happy for others to crosspost if it just reunites 1 dog that is one more than would have been had not EVERYONE been made aware. Please stop spitting out your dummies & join forces.
(Sorry if anyone is upset by this but life is too short)

Mikka has had a message put on her thread on  dog lost which to me indicates the pettiness of dog lost it reads as this . I asked BC  to put msg on regarding me being banned from dog lost and this was Jaynes reply

DOGLOST   Jayne - Head Office @ 15:46 - 22/11/2007       Private Message   Email
Just press on poster and Mikka's direct contact details are on the poster
lost BC @ 17:08 - 20/11/2007    Private Message  Email
Mikka has asked me post this for her. Mikka has been banned from Doglost. If anyone has any information regarding Mikkas whereabouts, would they please contact her direct, as she no longer has access to mikka's page, so she will be unable to pick up any messages left for her.If anyone wants a message relayed to mikka please feel free to pm me and i will pass it through to her. thanks BC

Just wondering if any pm's will get back to you Jenni, . I would suggest that anybody with information about Mikka should either contact you directly or pm you via this site.   Thanks BC for helping Jenni.  Justine

I think its a sorry state of affairs when sites try to be dominant and have no democracy within their organisations, sadly there are a few on the internet. Alfies believes in free speech and free choice and would not prevent any members doing whatever or joining whoever they wish . After all they are volunteers giving up their own time and money to help others not employees tied down to contracts , but I am sure these sites have small print tucked away somewhere to justify their actions.Mikka has felt strongly enough to start a topic on her own experiences and she of course has a right to express her views. We  do not ban members for being diverse and proactive regarding their decisions to work alongside other websites  or organisations , We ban the spiteful ,ill informed and rude members!

I think that just before we put this topic to bed, I would just like to say the following. "all websites that relate to the safety and the welfare of missing dogs and dogs in need should all start to work together, as a team. How do we expect the police, authorities and the public to respect us, if all we do is, well quite frankly  "disagree!". As the owner of a much loved missing dog and the founder of this site, I would like to invite the founders of ALL DOG RELATED SITES  to join our site and visa versa...... we can do a lot more for all these dogs if we all work together and share the information. my god what is wrong with some people Angry
surely all that matters is the missing dog is returned to its owner and the more places the dog is shown on the more likely this is to happen.
its not about scoreing brownie points its about getting pets home where they should be.
if my dog was missing i would want my dog on EVERY site i could find and i would expect the sites to all work together in finding my dog.
alfies dont care who why or what site gets the dog home just as long as its home and other sites should take a leaf out of there book.
THINK ABOUT THE MISSING DOG AND THE FAMILY WHO ARE IN BITS WONDERING WHERE THERE DOG IS AND IF ITS OK NOT WEATHER OR NOT THE DOG IS ON OTHER SITES.
the dog is the property of the owner it cant be copy right to a site.

I have removed the last posts as this seems to have turned nasty  and the whole point of Mikkas post seems to have been lost and that is that all sites should work together , END OF STORY!!

I can only agree wholeheartedly with everything that has been said here about dl. How can they have the front to claim they help dogs and owners, when they ban people for joining other web sites including NON-PROFIT SITES like Alfie's? Its ridiculous. I don't know if there are other profit making sites around that are set up to help animals be reunited with loving owners, but I cant help wondering if there are any, just what do they think of dl's behaviour?

I would be interested to read any comments from people on other sites, both for and non profit sites on this subject. IF there are people here that are still future ex dl members, perhaps you could ask them why they are constantly failing to answer my question on why they banned me. I know why they banned me of course, I just think it would be good it they were to stop being cowards and say why.
