MOLLY,YORKIE FROM PRESTON

  
 Molly ran off on 30th Oct, Preston, Lancashire. Dark grey and tan. Long tail, undocked. Slightly long legs for a Yorkshire Terrier. 12 inches tall. Wearing collar and tag.   
Age: 18 months

SIMILAR DOG AS MOLLY, MOLLY HAS A LONG TAIL, LONGER LEGS AND MAY BE SLIGHTLY PALER IN COLOUR.

The family don't have own direct access to Internet - only via public internet locations - and not on e-mail.   I spoke with a daughter (other than Samantha) of owner Sat afternoon 1 Dec (01253 tel area). 
Per the lady: age of Molly, from a check they've made with pedigree doc, is 2 & a half yrs, not 18mths;  and Molly went missing in Cuerden Park area south of Bamber Bridge urban area and end of M65 (south of Preston). 
Therefore that would be in PR5 postal area,  not PR1.   On map, Cuerden Park vicinity is between the north parts of Leyland (to the West),  Clayton-le-Woods (to the South)  and Clayton Brook residential area (to the East).

Possiblity of jont feature article/report (with Jenny YT of BR1), incl'g dog pics,  for Preston-based Lancashire Evening Post -  via alfie's mummy dialogue?   -   A&M (Jenny lost YT owners)

lancashire evening post has been contacted about doing an editorial on both Molly and Jenny. I have once again emailed local vets with both posters of molly and jenny. will now start to email kennels etc.

dog warden service for the preston area

Welcome to the Dog Welfare Service


Opening Hours:-

0800-1600 Monday-Friday

Location:-

The Dog Welfare Officers have their own depot, postal enquiries can be made to the Environmental Health address below.




Staffing:-

We have 2 Dog Welfare Officers which provide 2 full time posts.

Summary:-

Promotion of responsible dog ownership to reduce straying and fouling. We will usually try and return strays first time, but many dogs also get impounded.

Fouling fixed penalties are issued to owners where advice to clean up is ignored.

You may wish to report irresponsible dog owners, or areas of the City which are particularly affected by stray dogs or dog fouling.

Dog Welfare Strategy

The Council's Dog Welfare Service exists to promote responsible dog ownership, including raising standards of dog welfare amongst the City's dog owners, securing high standards of dog welfare within premises licensed to sell and board dogs, ensuring that dogs are not allowed to roam unattended and decreasing the level of dog fouling in the City's streets and parks.
