I don't think Holly would recognise my car or my parents for that matter. There are always so many different cars at my parents (dad's a mechanic)! Going to go back to the area again until we hopefully sight this little dog.
The lady who has seen it twice, has said she'll try and catch it next time and wait for me to get there. If it isn't Holly and the owners allow this dog to roam, surely they'll not miss it for 10 minutes until we can clarify whether it is or isn't Holly?
Also put posters up around one of the travellers sites in Hudds yesterday and going to target the area around the Wakefield site today.
Thanks everybody for your help and concern.

Well, I've driven round the village where the lady thought she'd seen Holly. No sitings but have put loads more posters up. Also showed any residents that I saw a photo of Holly and asked if they'd seen her. Unfortunately not but will keep going back until we see this particular dog!

Believe me, I'm persistent!!!! I'm on the computer every spare minute I get to see if there's any rescues/contacts I could have possibly missed!!
Must have sent over 80 emails besides all the phone calls, posters etc.
I DO believe we'll get Holly back and won't stop trying. Just like the rest of you lovely people. xx

Unfortunately we've still heard nothing about Holly! The one lady who thought she'd seen her in the village, believes she was mistaken. Besides, we've postered that particular village and have had no further calls!!
Holly's story featured in another local newspaper this weekend. It has a very large coverage of the Huddersfield area but again, as yet, we've heard nothing.
I put posters up outside the gypsy camps in Huddersfield and Wakefield, thinking that we may get a call, but again, nothing!
I'm not really sure what more I/we can do as I'm sure I've contacted every possible source within a wide berth of my parents home! Just got to keep trying and keep our fingers crossed that Holly will someday come home or show her face and somebody recognise her!!
Thanks everybody for all your kind words and thoughts. It helps to think that other people (even strangers) are looking out for Holly xx

Well, it will be 3 weeks tomorrow since Holly disappeared and still no news. It seems that the possible sighting we had a week ago isn't Holly and other than that, nobody seems to have heard or seen anything! It's a complete mystery!!
My parents are unable to access the internet but would like to thank everybody for their support, best wishes and help in trying to find their 'little girl'. She is sadly missed by all of us

Haven't heard anything about Holly for weeks now up until yesterday (12th August).
A young girl called me from Lepton village (not linked with the lady who'd phoned previously) to say she believes she saw and stroked Holly on Wednesday 9th August. It wasn't until she saw our missing poster in the local shop yesterday that she realised it could have been Holly. She was positive it was Holly.
This dog was seen in the same area the other lady had seen it.
Both myself and my Dad went at different times yesterday evening driving round looking for her. Going back today but to walk around on foot with Holly's mate 'Digger'. Also going to take some missing leaflets and do a door to door drop to see if we can eliminate whether this is a stray, somebody's pet or perhaps Holly who has been sold on!! Fingers crossed xx
Does anybody have any other ideas as to what we can do other than camp out in a tent waiting to site this dog?

Hi Melifor, The last time I had any even slightly positive sightings of Jasper, I put up posters on every lamp post in the immediate area of the sighting (you've probably already done this), and don't laugh but left my scent on every wall, fence, curb etc in the area. (PM me for more info, as a bit embarrassing).
I returned to the same place as the sighting at the same time for several days, and just walked up and down calling and talking to Jasper.
Sadly, this didn't work, and I haven't had any sightings for months now, but it could be worth a try.
Fingers crossed,
Cheryl

Hi Melifor, Could you take an article of clothing (un-washed) belonging to your parents and leave it somewhere safe near where she was seen. Also spread the contents of your parents vacuum cleaner around the area leading to the clothing. Good luck, I hope it's Holly and that she can be caught. If you see her, don't chase after her. Just try to sit nearby and let her come to you. You could try singing while you wait as dogs like that. Chris

Thanks everybody.
We went to Lepton yesterday and spent all afternoon doing door to door leaflet drops which proved worthwhile as, by evening, we'd had a couple of telephone calls from residents claiming they knew the dog that had been sited! I also had a call from this particular dogs owner saying that she'd got one of our fliers and she honestly believes it's her dog that people have been siting!! She couldn't believe the resemblence between her dog and Holly. Only difference being her dog is a dog and not a bitch! I asked her if she allowed her dog to roam and apparently, it will escape at every opportunity ie if a gate is left open etc!!
The people who had contacted me thinking they'd seen Holly, couldn't confirm whether it was a dog or bitch they'd seen so I think yesterdays outing has 99% confirmed it isn't Holly!
Oh well, we'll keep trying!
Thanks again xx

Sorry to hear that it wasn't Holly, but at least you've found out that it wasn't and no longer have to concentrate on that particular area.
You know that a lot of people know about Holly now and they'll almost certainly make the connection if they do see a stray or 'for sale' dog that looks like Holly.
Lets hope you find her soon.

Thanks so much everybody. It's surprising how many people know about Holly's disappearance.... My Mum walked into a shop the other day and the shop worker asked her if she'd found her little dog. Mum didn't even know the worker knew who she was, never mind that her dog was missing!!!!
Still keeping our fingers crossed and not giving up hope.
Thanks again xxx

Thanks ever so much for the phone call and putting the photo next to Holly. I can 100% say this isn't Holly - shame!! Saying that, at the time Holly was taken, her coat would have been just a little shorter than the dog in the photograph as on the photo I supplied, she'd just been plucked!
Thanks again
Mel xx
