NORRIS UPDATE
 
06-03-08 Norris is a 4 month old cav pup. He has bent deformed front legs but manages fine. He was unsold so given to us to try to find him a loving home. He is very sweet as you can imagine.

UPDATE
Norris front legs were examined today under aesthetic. Helen is not sure why they are so strange, so he is off to see a specialist on Tuesday. We will do all we can to help him and I know everyone will wish him well as he is the sweetest pup ever!

12-03-08 UPDATE
 
 
     Norris has been to see the specialist to be x-rayed (we do not have that facility here).  Sadly the x-rays show real problems - in fact over £2000 worth of them and maybe more.  Even if he has the surgery there is no guarantee of success.
     Two operations are needed on each front leg. The first is to cut the ulna to allow the radius to straighten and then most likely a second will be needed to fuse the bones in the wrist so he can walk on his feet. There was another alternative which is to put him to sleep.
     The specialist said this needs to be addressed in the next 2 weeks, as all the time he grows he will have more pain. Norris is a very happy friendly chap who a sparkles with love and courage. There is no question we will fight for his health and find the funds some how. He is not up for adoption until we know the outcome. He will attend the specialists at Hafren Vets near Builith Wells in Wales. We are hoping one of our very good fosterers nearby will take this fellow on to foster so he gets the maximum cuddles and love.
