Hi all, thank you all so much for your kind messages. I still find all this so incredibly hard. I have lost dogs before, but never a dog that has been with me for almost 11 years. I just can't take this in, Saphire has never been ill in her life, I know she was struggling, but I really believed that she would get through this. God, I don't know what to say really...... I miss her so bloody much, I feel that I have let her down and I still don't know why she died. Please believe me when I say, that I loved Saphire with all of my heart and soul, she was AND always be my princess, the boss in the house and to be honest, I don't know what I am going to do without her." I NEVER THOUGHT THAT I WOULD LOSE SAPHIRE SO SOON".
I have cried so many times over dogs that have passed on, but the pain I am feeling for Saphire is unbearable..... I really thought that she would get through this and stay with me forever, or at least for a few more years. My heart is well and truly broken. Justine
Saphire is sleeping now XXXXX

oh justine iam so very sorry to hear about your princess, my heart goes out to you , this has been such a sad month ,,Run Free Saphire with Taome , Sheena and Zara
God took someone away today, he took away my friend A place I cannot follow yet, to heaven she was sent
The lap you lay your head in and the way I swept away your fears The purpose you were put on earth to have 11 happy years
Late nights we spent reading, well I did while you slept And in and out of your kingdom house you stalked silently and crept
You were a constant in my life and I just wish that I knew why That when you love something so very much it always has to die
The late nights we had with each other, nothing else ever meaned or mattered The losing of my loving friend has left my heart bruised and battered
I know that when I feel those eyes, the ones when your all alone That its you watching over me from the place we'll both call home
So wait for me in that perfect place the one made for me and you. And when im done with all life's chores I promise i'll come for you.

Dear Justine I am so pleased that you saw and took pictures of THE rainbow yesterday. Anna and I were walking back from our walk and saw the most amazing rainbow and I turned to her and said that I hoped you saw it because I was sure it was Sapphire showing you that she was at the bridge. I feel that it was a real spiritual experience and feel that Sappire is with Willow who loved to wallow in the water under the bridge.

Dear Justine,
This is such a shock. I am so very sorry for Saphire, your poor little princess.
I am devastated and feel terrible since holding a big responsibility in what happened: the operation went well and I never expected this to end this way. I do not even know nor understand what happened.
The pictures at the rainbow bridge are lovely. This wonderful sign will hopefully soothe your pain a little.
See you soon my friend.
Julien
