Dear Jodie has passed away
« on: March 14, 2008, 11:13:07 PM »

YET MORE UPSETTING NEWS, My dear Jodie has cancer in her bladder and there is nothing that can be done except to give her pain relief daily. I am totally shell shocked.  Not too sure how much more of this pain and upset that I can take. Justine

oh Justine, youre certainly having more than your fair share of upset right now. All our thoughts are with you and i just wish there was some way of taking some of your pain away!

Please take comfort from the knowledge that you have and always will give any of your dogs all the love and comfort they need and then some. They couldnt ask for anything more than a loving owner like you and you have made their lives worth living.

God bless you and all your dogs.

Lots of hugs coming your way xx

thanks Sara, we have looked into this, Jodie is too old and too far gone, there is no treatment I am sorry to say. All I can do is give her pain killers, Jodie also has rotton teeth so is now only able to eat mashed food. I have only had Jodie for about 7 months, she was neglected and kept in a shed for 3 years before she came to me!!! I will keep her happy and pain free for as long as I can and she will be checked on a weekly basis by the vets. All I can do. Once again, my love for dogs is being tested beyond belief!!! Justine

I knew this was coming, but I am so very very heartbroken for dear little Jodie, she was such a sweet little Lady. Chris(k9) came to see me on Saturday as I needed more than a second oppinion. Jodie had cancer that was putting pressure on her bladder, although we sorted this out for a short period, the growth was spreading again and the daily pain killer had stopped to work, dear Jodie was in discomfort and starting to feel the pain. Today Jodie was constantly sick, I knew it was time..... it never gets easier. So soon after Saphire, I could hardly control my grief as I held Jodie in my arms until she slipped away. God bless you Jodie and may you rest in peace forever. Mummy

Jodie came to me through LAST CHANCE 6 month ago, Jodie's owners had noticed that she was peeing more than normal so they made her live in a shed for 3 years!!! We now know why she was peeing...... she had cancer and all this could of been stopped if they had taken her to a vet!!! Such unnecessary suffering for such a very proud Lady. "I HATE THE PREVIOUS OWNERS WITH EVERY OUNCE OF MY BODY..... and yes I wish them all the pain that MY DEAR JODIE HAS SUFFERED".  Today when I was holding Jodie in my arms, I felt such anger I could have screamed out loud!!!    " I AM SO ANGRY "  Justine

Oh Justine, I am so very sorry for your loss of your darling little Jodie. She knew love like never before in the last months of her life with you, without you god knows where she would have ended up. You were both very lucky to have found each other, if only for a short time, but to Jodie it probably seemed like a lifetime with you. My heart and thoughts are with you. xx

Hi Justine

I am very sorry to hear your sad news. I know there is nothing I can say to comfort you but please think of what a comfort you were to Jodie. She knew you loved her and that you took great care of her and that must be a wonderful feeling. Thank you so much for all your kindness.
God bless her, and you.

love
Denise
